NNPP, APC Win Elections In Kano State

In Kano State, the New Nigeria People's Party (NNPP) candidate, Dr. Ali Hassan Kiyawa, emerged victorious in the elections, as announced by the Returning Officer, Professor Hassan Adamu Shitu.

Kiyawa defeated the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Ahmad Muhammad Kadamu. Additionally, the APC candidate, Garba Ya'u Gwarmai, won the supplementary election in the state, defeating NNPP candidate Yusuf Ali Maigado.

The initial election in the constituency was declared inconclusive, leading to the supplementary poll. However, tensions rose as the NNPP accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of attempting to manipulate the constituency.

Despite this, the election results were eventually announced. Governor Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa's spokesperson stated that they would respect the outcome of the election.
