APC-PCC Consults Clerics as Atiku Forms Campaign Council

The All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council (APC-PCC), under the leadership of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has intensified consultations with key stakeholders in preparation for the 2027 general election. The consultations began in Jos, Plateau State, and included meetings with Muslim clerics from various sects in Kano, Kaduna, and Bauchi states.

Notable interactions included discussions with Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir in Jos, Sheikh Ibrahim Dahiru Bauchi in Bauchi, and Sheikh Abdullahi Bala Lau in Kaduna, focusing on national issues such as security and economic hardship. In parallel, Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), announced the establishment of a National Campaign Council, chaired by Kashim Ibrahim-Imam, with former Kaduna Governor Nasir El-Rufai as deputy chairman.

Austin Akobundu was appointed as the director-general and campaign manager, overseeing a team of deputy directors-general and directors assigned specific roles.
