APC Unveils Presidential Campaign Council for 2027
The Presidency released the list of members for the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) on Saturday, ahead of the 2027 general elections. Abdulaziz Yari, the former governor of Zamfara State and current Senator for Zamfara West, has been appointed as the Director General of the PCC.
Hope Uzodinma, the governor of Imo State and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, was named Secretary of the council, a decision that surprised many within the PGF. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will serve as chairman of the PCC, with Vice President Kashim Shettima as vice chairman.
The national chairman of the APC, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, will also act as vice chairman. Other notable members include Senator Ajibola Bashiru as National Secretary and Hadiza Bala-Usman as deputy secretary.
