APC Campaign Council Adjustments Ahead of 2027 Elections

The Presidency has announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council list for the 2027 election will undergo necessary adjustments but will not be entirely reviewed. Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication, Sunday Dare, stated that the over 200-man list remains valid, and the party has yet to form all subcommittees that will comprise the campaign structure.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the chairman of the campaign team, with Vice-President Kashim Shettima and APC National Chairman Professor Nentawe Yilwatda serving as vice chairmen. Senator Abdul’aziz Yari, a serving lawmaker and former governor of Zamfara State, has been appointed as Director-General, while Senator Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State and chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, is the secretary.

Dare emphasized that the list has not been withdrawn and that adjustments will allow for more party members and political stakeholders to participate in the campaign structure.
