Yusuf Buhari Wins APC Primary in Katsina Landslide

Yusuf Buhari emerged victorious in the APC primary election for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai Adua Federal Constituency ticket in Katsina State, achieving a landslide victory with 17,342 votes, defeating Auwalu Musa Daura, who received only 480 votes. Buhari expressed gratitude to his supporters, stating, "Alhamdulillah, I secured a landslide victory." He emphasized that the overwhelming mandate reflects the trust and confidence of the people.

Despite the victory, Auwalu Musa Daura, the son of a former Director General of the Department of State Services (DSS), refused to concede and claimed that the process did not comply with established guidelines, alleging that some participants were not registered APC members. Buhari described the conduct of the primary election as peaceful and encouraged anyone dissatisfied with the outcome to seek redress.

He expressed optimism about the upcoming 2027 general elections and pledged to focus on youth involvement and community development.
