Yusuf Buhari Secures APC Ticket for 2027 Elections

Yusuf Buhari, son of former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been awarded the automatic ticket by the All Progressives Congress (APC) to contest for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai Adua Federal Constituency seat in the upcoming 2027 general elections. This decision was made during a stakeholders' meeting held in Katsina on April 28, where a consensus agreement was announced by the chairman of the committee for the Daura zone, Ahm Dangiwa.

The meeting involved consultations among party leaders and stakeholders in the area. Mannir Musa, the APC chairman for Mai Adua Local Government, urged members to accept the outcome and appealed for support for the aspirants who did not secure tickets.

Musa disclosed that the consensus candidates also included Nasir Yahaya for the senatorial race and Mustapha Musa for the Katsina State House of Assembly. Yusuf Buhari expressed gratitude for the support from party members and pledged to provide quality representation for the constituency in the 2027 elections.
