Adamu Urges APC Members to Engage in Nasarawa Primaries

Mohammed Adamu Abubakar, the former Inspector General of Police, has called on All Progressives Congress (APC) members in Nasarawa State to engage actively in the forthcoming gubernatorial primary elections set for May 21, 2026. He encouraged genuine party members to remain calm and vigilant, ensuring their participation aligns with the party's constitution.

Adamu emphasized that the process for selecting the APC governorship candidate must be strictly adhered to, highlighting that it should be a direct primary or consensus choice, as outlined in the APC constitution. He warned against any premature endorsements or manipulations that could undermine the party's credibility and public confidence.

Adamu also stated that any actions contrary to the party's constitution, such as unilateral decisions by state chairmen, would be considered misconduct and could lead to disciplinary measures, including suspension or removal from office.
