APC Primaries: Katsina Adopts Consensus, Delta Seeks Direct

On Thursday, Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda announced that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Katsina has adopted a consensus arrangement for its primary elections. This decision was made in agreement with stakeholders to maintain party cohesion and peace.

Radda is seeking a second term and emphasized the support of the people for his efforts in security matters. Meanwhile, Ovie Omo-Agege, a former Deputy Senate President, expressed his desire for direct primaries in Delta State as he aims to return to the Senate.

Omo-Agege highlighted the need for representation in the National Assembly and the importance of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's return in 2027. He stated that he would submit himself for direct primaries, reflecting the sentiments of his constituents regarding their representation and the need for effective governance.
