APC Raises Alarm Over N130 Billion Airport Project

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed alarm over the reported increase in the cost of an airport project in Osun State, specifically in the hometown of Governor Ademola Adeleke. The APC claims that the contract sum has escalated from N99.5 billion to N130 billion, questioning the rationale behind this upward revision.

They have called on the Adeleke administration to provide a detailed account of expenditures related to the project. The APC's governorship campaign council has raised concerns that a substantial portion of the revised contract sum has already been paid.

They argue that the cost of the airport project exceeds the combined budgetary allocations for the state's economy in 2025. The party has urged the state government to make financial records public to dispel suspicions regarding the management of state resources.

Additionally, they have linked the project to Dr. Deji Adeleke, the governor's elder brother, suggesting potential mismanagement of funds.
