APC Earns N504 Million from Edo Assembly Aspirants' Forms

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised N504 million from the sale of nomination forms for aspirants contesting the Edo State Assembly elections. A total of 84 aspirants are competing for 24 seats in the state assembly, with each form priced at N6 million.

The screening process commenced on Saturday at the APC secretariat located on Ikpokpan Road, Benin City, and was attended by party leaders and security personnel to maintain order. Emmanuel Okoebor, the chairman of the APC screening committee, emphasized the importance of ensuring that only qualified and credible aspirants participate in the party's primaries.

The screening exercise began at 8 AM and involved the accreditation and verification of candidates' credentials. Dr.

Aminu Ibrahim, an aspirant from the Etsako East constituency, commended the screening committee for conducting a peaceful process and expressed confidence that he would emerge victorious in the elections.
