Edo APC Earns N504m from Nomination Form Sales

The Edo State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has raised N504 million from the sale of nomination forms for aspirants vying for 24 seats in the state assembly. A total of 84 aspirants expressed interest in contesting these positions.

The party plans to screen candidates across 18 local government areas, with the screening exercise scheduled to take place at the party's secretariat along Ikpokpan Road in Benin City. Emmanuel Okoebor, the chairman of the screening committee, explained that the exercise aims to ensure that only qualified and credible candidates participate in the party's primaries.

The process will be conducted transparently and fairly, adhering to the party's constitution and electoral guidelines.
