APC Celebrates Victory in Rivers LG Election, Dismisses Allegations

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has praised the outcome of the Rivers State Local Government election held on Saturday, securing victory in 20 out of the 23 local government chairmanship seats contested. The party's National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, commended the people's confidence in the administration and the successful conduct of the election by the Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) and security agencies.

While acknowledging the allegations of electoral irregularities raised by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the APC dismissed them as a smokescreen to distract from the party's success. The APC urged the newly elected chairmen to focus on delivering effective governance to the people of Rivers State.
