APC Replaces Uzodimma With Masari as Convention Committee Chair

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has named former Katsina State Governor Masari as the new Chairman of the Convention Committee, replacing Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma. The decision was announced in a statement signed by the party's National Secretary, Surajudeen Basiru.

Uzodimma had earlier been the committee chair but was reassigned to the treasury. The committee has been reconstituted with an expanded membership from 73 to 90 members, including prominent party stakeholders like Senator Barry Mpigi and former Senate President Anyim Pius Anyim.

Additionally, Kwara State Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq was appointed as the Vice Chairman I, and Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni retained his position as the committee's Secretary. The changes come as the APC prepares for its convention scheduled for March 27-28, with the new committee expected to oversee the event.
