APC Denies Atiku's Claims on Secret Campaign Fund

The All Progressives Congress (APC) issued a statement on Wednesday, dismissing allegations made by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar. Atiku claimed that the 2026 Service-Wide Vote (SWV) was designed to secretly finance President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election campaign.

The APC, through its National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, described Atiku's allegations as false, baseless, and indicative of his ignorance regarding public finance. The party emphasized that the Service-Wide Vote is a long-established budgetary provision meant for government-wide obligations and unforeseen expenditures, asserting it is neither a secret fund nor an illegal account.

The APC criticized Atiku for failing to provide evidence for his claims and accused him of attempting to mislead Nigerians. Morka stated that a former vice president should understand the workings of the SWV and accused Atiku of projecting his past onto the current administration, highlighting his history of corruption.

The APC also noted Atiku's repeated presidential candidacies without offering practical solutions for Nigeria's development.
