Fubara Briefly Appears Before APC Screening Panel

Rivers State Governor Sundi Fubara attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship screening panel ahead of the party's primary elections. Sources close to the governor indicated that he was asked to "take a bow and go," which is a standard procedure for aspirants during the screening process.

Fubara reportedly spent less than 20 minutes with the committee and declined to speak to journalists afterward. The APC has screened two governorship aspirants from Rivers State, including Fubara, who represents the Obio-Akpor Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

The screening committee, led by Kingsley Chinda, is expected to submit its report soon, which will determine the status of the aspirants and whether they will approach the screening appeal committee. Ajibola Basiru, the APC National Secretary, will oversee the issuance of the report once it is completed.
