Okowa Dominates APC Primary, Nwoko Secures Only 3 Votes

In the APC senatorial primary held in Ward 9, Okpanam, Delta North, Ned Nwoko faced a substantial defeat, securing only 3 votes. In contrast, Ifeanyi Okowa, the immediate past governor of Delta State, achieved a commanding victory with 4,462 votes.

The results were posted by Ossai Ovi, a senior special assistant to the Delta State governor, on a Facebook page, indicating a clear victory for Okowa. This outcome reflects the current political dynamics within the party and the electoral landscape as the senatorial primaries continue across the country.

The results suggest that Nwoko, who sought to return to the upper legislative chamber, will not be advancing in this electoral cycle.
