APC Stakeholders Urge Tinubu on Jos North Primary Results

Stakeholders from the All Progressives Congress (APC) have submitted a petition to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu concerning the Jos North assembly primary election results. The petition, signed by Usman Danasab and Josiah Mark on behalf of concerned APC members, calls for intervention to prevent attempts to undermine the election outcome.

The letter emphasizes the importance of safeguarding internal party democracy and ensuring that the winner of the primary, Hon. Dr. Adamu Aliyu, who received 13,066 votes, is recognized. The petitioners express concern over reports that the APC National Working Committee (NWC) facilitated the issuance of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination forms to candidates who did not perform well in the primaries.

They argue that such actions violate democratic principles and the electoral act, urging that the process be transparent and fair. The group calls on the APC NWC, the national executive committee, INEC, security agencies, and the judiciary to resolve the matter according to the law.
