Agege APC Leaders Petition Tinubu Over Primary Results

Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Agege have submitted a petition to President Bola Tinubu concerning alleged alterations in the results of the party's primary election for the Lagos State House of Assembly. The petition, dated June 1, 2026, was jointly signed by the APC chairman and the secretariat of Agege Local Government Area, alongside executives from five wards.

They assert that Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi emerged victorious in the primary held on May 20, 2026, securing 9,132 votes from 10,126 ballots cast across the five wards. However, the party has not recognized him as the candidate.

The petition highlights discrepancies in the published results, which reportedly contradict the outcome announced at the end of the primary election. The leaders urge the APC national leadership to review the records related to the primary election and uphold the results that declare Egunjobi as the duly elected candidate.

They have prepared documentary evidence, including video recordings and reports from electoral observers, to support their claims.
