APC Suspends Senior Official in Kebbi State Over Alleged Violence Instigation

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State has suspended Kabiru Labbo Jega, a senior party member, over allegations of instigating violence and unrest in Jega town. The suspension, contained in a letter dated January 26 and signed by the party's zonal vice chairman, Abubakar Bello Matawal Bunza, comes after the party previously suspended the chairman of the Birnin Kebbi Local Government and ALGON chairman, Dahiru Nayaya Ambursa.

The letter accused Jega of actions capable of disrupting peace and unity within the party, alleging that he instigated violence among APC members, creating tension and confusion in Jega. Following a review by the APC executive committee, Jega's conduct was deemed to pose a threat to internal cohesion and discipline within the party, leading to his immediate suspension from party activities.

The letter also warned Jega against engaging in APC-related activities during the suspension period, with violations potentially resulting in stiffer disciplinary measures, including expulsion.
