APC Gains Control of Yobe Assembly as Attajiri Defects

Hon. Attajiri, who was elected to represent Bade Central Constituency on the PDP platform during the 2023 general elections, has officially defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

This decision was announced following extensive consultations and was supported by several political figures, including Deputy Speaker Hon. Yau Usman Dachia and former Speaker Hon.

Adamu Dala Dogo. The defection was celebrated by former Senate President Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, who emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration within the APC to ensure development in Yobe State.

With this defection, the APC now controls 24 seats in the Yobe State House of Assembly, leaving the PDP with only two seats. Hon.
