APC Urges Leadership to Uphold Bauchi Congress Results

The All Progressives Congress (APC) and various support groups have called on the national leadership to uphold the results of the congress conducted in Bauchi on March 3-4, 2026. During a press conference, Barrister Jibrin S.

Jibrin, the chairman of the coalition, and Comrade Ibrahim Y. Muhammad, the secretary, expressed concerns regarding efforts by certain individuals to overturn the congress results.

They highlighted that the congress had produced a new set of state executives, including Alhaji Muhammad Hassan Tild as chairman and Alhaji Mustapha Zirami as secretary. The coalition warned that attempts to replace elected officials could jeopardize party unity and momentum, recalling similar internal disputes that led to setbacks in previous elections.

They emphasized that the congress was conducted in accordance with Article 20 of the APC constitution and the Electoral Act of 2026. The group appealed directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC national chairman to intervene and ensure the results are upheld, which they argue is essential for consolidating support for the APC's presidential candidate in the upcoming elections.
