Benue APC Re-elects Austin Agada as State Chairman

On Tuesday, the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State re-elected Austin Agada as State Chairman for a four-year term during a congress held in Makurdi. The event was attended by APC stakeholders from all 23 local government areas, including former Minister of State for Health Jack Gyado and former Nigerian Ambassador to Switzerland Iyorwues Hagher.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) monitored the congress, which was also observed by various security agencies. Agada expressed gratitude for the support received and assured party members of his commitment to unity and leadership.

Meanwhile, a faction loyal to Governor Hyacinth Alia held a separate congress, announcing Benjamin Omal as their state chairman. The NASS Caucus, represented by Philip Agbes, congratulated Agada and urged continued faith in the party's leadership, emphasizing the need to support Bola Ahmed Tinubu's presidential ambitions.
