APC Ward Congress Kicks Off in Kwara State

The APC Ward Congress began in Kwara State, with activities commencing yesterday across 193 wards. The congress is designed to adopt an affirmative method to retain incumbents and strengthen party leadership in preparation for future elections.

Sources close to the party indicated that the leadership believes this initiative will help maintain the party's prominence, despite some peculiar challenges in certain areas. The congress is being supervised by representatives from the national secretariat in Abuja.

Thousands of party members participated in the congress, with notable attendance reported in wards such as Ilorin West, Ilorin East, Asa, Ifelodun, Okuta, and Baruten. APC chairman Princ Sundai Fagbemi praised the party members for their support and peaceful conduct during the congress, which is set to continue until March.
