APC wins Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency by-election in Kaduna

The All Progressives Congress (APC) emerged victorious in the Chikun/Kajuru federal constituency by-election in Kaduna State. Fidelix Bagudu of the APC was declared the winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Sunday, after polling a total of votes, defeating the closest rival from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who garnered votes.

The candidate from the African Democratic Congress (ADC) came in third. The margin of victory for Bagudu was votes, securing his return to the House of Representatives to represent the constituency.

This by-election was one of several conducted across the country to fill vacant seats declared by INEC.
