APC Wins Kuje Chairmanship in FCT Polls

In the recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) polls, the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victory in the Kuje chairmanship election. The results were announced by Prof.

Nkiruka Odoh, the chief returning officer from the University of Abuja. APC candidate Shekolo received a total of 17,269 votes, defeating his closest rival, Danlami Zakoyi of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who obtained 15,824 votes.

Other parties also participated, with the African Democratic Congress (ADC) receiving 7,016 votes, and the Progress Grand Alliance (APGA) garnering 4,305 votes. The remaining parties, including the Action Alliance (AA), All Progressives Movement (APM), and others, recorded significantly lower votes.

Following the announcement, Shekolo commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the conduct of the elections, describing it as a success and expressing gratitude for the support received, pledging to deliver the dividends of democracy to the people of Kuje Area Council.
