APC's Morka Challenges Kwankwaso on Atiku's Withdrawal

Felix Morka, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC), responded to Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), regarding Kwankwaso's suggestion that Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), should withdraw from the 2027 presidential race. Kwankwaso had urged Atiku to support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, citing Atiku's age and health, and promised that Atiku would be taken care of if they won the presidency.

Morka criticized this stance in a post on X, questioning the opposition's confidence in negotiating for the presidency before the electorate has made their decision. He characterized the situation as indicative of hypocrisy within the opposition, stating that they were engaging in "horse trading" over a position they had not yet secured.

Atiku, who will turn 81 next year, has expressed his intention to continue his presidential ambitions, declaring that the 2027 election would be his final attempt.
