APC Responds to Kwankwaso's Offer to Atiku for 2027

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to Rabiu Kwankwaso, the Vice Presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, regarding his proposal to take care of Atiku Abubakar if the latter withdraws from the 2027 presidential race. Felix Morka, the APC’s National Publicity Secretary, criticized the opposition's confidence in negotiating for the presidency before the electorate has made a decision.

He characterized the situation as indicative of hypocrisy within the opposition, stating, “At last, the veil comes off … behold the whited sepulchre … they pretend to be saints on the outside but filled with stench of corruption and malignant hypocrisy on the inside.” Morka accused the opposition of engaging in ‘horse trading’ over a position they have not yet secured. Kwankwaso had previously urged Atiku to support the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket, citing Atiku’s age and health, and assured that he would be taken care of if they win the presidency.
