APGA Clears Aspirants for 2026 Anambra LG Primaries

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has officially cleared its aspirants for the 2026 Anambra Local Government chairmanship primaries. The announcement was made through a list released on Sunday from the party's state secretariat in Awka, which included candidates who successfully met the necessary requirements to participate in the upcoming primaries.

The statement was signed by Dr. Ejimofor Opara, the National Public Secretary of APGA.

Notable aspirants include Kingslei Ezeagu from Aguata, Ifeanyi Chinwez from Anambra East, Toni Obierika from Anambra West, Paulinu Okafor from Anaocha, Thankgod Anago from Awka North, and Chinedu Okafor from Awka South, among others. APGA reiterated its commitment to conducting transparent and credible primaries and urged party members to support unity and abide by party rules throughout the election period.

The Anambra local government elections are expected to take place on August 29, prompting the party to intensify preparations ahead of the polls.
