APGA Candidate Chukwu Decries Voter Apathy in FCT Polls

Comrade Ez Onyebuchi Chukwu, the chairmanship candidate for the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the 2026 Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) elections, cast his vote at Poll Unit 013 in Asokoro around 11:45 AM. He criticized the noticeable voter apathy and intimidation observed during the electoral process.

Chukwu noted that many residents were disillusioned and felt that their votes would not lead to good leadership. He reported issues at Poll Unit 022 in Durumi, where INEC officials allegedly failed to provide original copies of the result sheets, causing frustration among party agents.

Chukwu also mentioned that there were reports of non-indigenous voters being denied the right to vote in certain areas, and he expressed surprise at the low turnout despite extensive campaigning. He emphasized the importance of local governance and the need for effective leadership at the grassroots level, lamenting the lack of value placed on local elections.
