APGA Announces Schedule and Fees for 2026 Anambra LG Elections

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has revealed the timetable for the 2026 Anambra State local government primary elections. The party's National Public Secretary, Mazi Ejimofor Opara, disclosed that the sale of nomination forms will take place at APGA's Awka Region Secretariat from January 27 to February 6.

Screening of chairmanship and councillorship aspirants will occur from February 7 to 11 across the state's 21 local government areas and 326 wards. The ward congress to elect councillorship candidates and ad hoc delegates is scheduled for February 13, followed by the chairmanship primary election on February 14.

The cost of forms is set at N6 million for chairmanship aspirants, N600,000 for councillorship aspirants, with female and disabled aspirants paying half the fee. The party emphasized the non-refundable nature of the payment and urged aspiring candidates to strictly adhere to electoral guidelines.
