APGA Supports Soludo's Role in Tinubu's 2027 Campaign

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has praised Anambra State Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo for his appointment as the Anambra State coordinator of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 presidential campaign council. APGA reaffirmed its support for Tinubu’s re-election bid and announced that it would not present a presidential candidate in the 2027 general election.

Mazi Ejimofor Opara, APGA’s National Publicity Secretary, stated that Soludo’s appointment recognizes his leadership qualities and commitment to progressive ideals. Opara emphasized that the appointment aligns with Soludo's advocacy for collaboration between APGA and the Federal Government to benefit Anambra State and the South-East.

He noted that APGA had previously adopted Tinubu as its consensus presidential candidate during a National Executive Committee meeting and Tinubu's visit to Anambra State on May 8, 2025. Opara confirmed that while APGA supports Tinubu, it will maintain its political identity in Anambra and contest legislative elections independently.
