PDP NEC Appeals Court Judgment to Supreme Court

The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), led by Tanimu Turaki, has resolved to appeal a recent court judgment concerning the party's leadership to the Supreme Court. This decision was unanimously ratified during the 103rd NEC meeting held in Abuja on Friday.

Ini Ememobong, the party's spokesperson, indicated that the PDP has already filed an application for an accelerated hearing to protect its legal standing. Ememobong emphasized that the NEC convened to deliberate and ratify various decisions made by the National Working Committee (NWC), which acts on behalf of the party's highest decision-making body.

He noted that the party remains open to internal reconciliation efforts and aims to avoid further division. Ememobong described the reconciliation journey as ongoing and expressed hope for a peaceful resolution.

He urged party members to participate in the ongoing digital membership drive and emphasized the importance of unity within the PDP.
