Arewa Group Declares Fear as Nigeria's Greatest Threat

The Arewa Group, chaired by Comrade Mahmoud Alhassan, held a press conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where they articulated that the greatest threat to Nigeria today is fear. They argued that citizens are afraid to travel, farm, send children to school, worship, and invest, which is dismantling the economy and future of the nation.

The group highlighted the alarming situation in northern Nigeria, particularly in Zamfara, where insecurity has led to economic hardship and the abandonment of schools and farmland. They announced their decision to sever ties with the Progress Congress (APC) due to its failure to address Nigeria's challenges, with a total registered membership of 696,947.

The Arewa Group has adopted the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as their new political platform, emphasizing the need for capable leadership to restore security and public confidence. They called on Nigerians to rise above fear and partisan loyalty to pursue a secure and prosperous future.
