Army Chief Calls for Discipline Among Troops in Katsina

During a special Eid el-Fitr luncheon held for frontline troops within the 8 Division area responsible for Katsina State, Major General Godwin Mutkut, representing the Command Infantry Corps, called for discipline and sacrifice among military personnel. He noted that self-discipline, particularly during Ramadan, reflects the ethos of military service.

Major General Paul Koughna, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 8 Division, Sector 2 Joint Task Force Operation, described the luncheon as a morale booster for the troops. He commended the soldiers for their sacrifices in combating criminal elements in the region.

Katsina State Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, along with Dr. Muazu Nasiru Danmusa, the Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, praised the military's dedication to restoring peace and assured ongoing government support for the welfare and logistics of soldiers and their families.

Mutkut urged the troops to maintain discipline, courage, and resolution in their duties.
