Nigerian Army Neutralizes 18 Terrorists in Borno State

On Wednesday, the Nigerian Army, under the Northeast Joint Task Force Operation Hadin Kai, reported the neutralization of 18 terrorists in Borno State. The operations took place along the Timbuktu Axis and Bulabulin Forest, where troops engaged terrorists using coordinated tactics with air support.

Lt. Col. Sani Uba disclosed that 11 terrorists were killed in Bulabulin Forest, while seven were neutralized along the Timbuktu Axis. The operations led to the recovery of a large cache of weapons, including 9 AK-47 rifles, 3 anti-aircraft machine guns, and assorted ammunition.

The troops also destroyed terrorist support structures and pursued fleeing insurgents, ensuring they could not regroup. The Nigerian Air Force confirmed the positions of fleeing terrorists, enabling further airstrikes.

The military high command commended the troops for their resilience and urged them to maintain operational tempo to sustain dominance across the battlespace.
