Nigerian Troops Eliminate 18 Terrorists in Yobe Operation

In a recent military operation in Yobe, Nigerian troops successfully neutralized 18 terrorists in the Bulabulin Forest area, as disclosed by Lieutenant Colonel Sani Uba. The operation involved collaboration with the Nigerian Air Force and the Civilian Joint Task Force, utilizing close air support and intelligence surveillance reconnaissance (ISR) for precise targeting.

The troops engaged terrorists near Malam Shiri Village, where they executed coordinated tactics that led to the neutralization of eleven terrorists, while several others fled with injuries. The operation also resulted in the destruction of terrorist life support structures and the recovery of nine AK-47 rifles, three anti-aircraft machine guns, five motorcycles, and assorted ammunition.

The Nigerian Air Force conducted precise airstrikes to further weaken the terrorists' operational capacity. The troops are currently pursuing fleeing insurgents along the Wajiroko axis to prevent their regrouping.
