Nigerian Army Foils Drone Attack, Kills Dozens of Terrorists

The Nigerian Army, under the direction of Maj. Gen.

Michael Onoja, announced successful military operations in Borno and surrounding areas from March 13 to March 19. Troops neutralized a significant number of terrorists, including senior commanders, during an assault in Mallam Fatori, Abadam Local Government Area, resulting in the death of dozens of fighters.

The operations also led to the recovery of 74 terrorist bodies and a cache of arms, including 38 AK-47 rifles and three PKT machine guns. Troops successfully repelled multiple infiltration attempts across Bama, Gujba, and Kaga Local Government Areas, and arrested key logistics suppliers.

Additionally, operations in Zamfara, Katsina, and Kaduna states resulted in the rescue of kidnap victims and the disruption of criminal networks. The military's commitment to restoring stability in the northeast and combating terrorism was emphasized, alongside efforts to dismantle illegal oil theft and drug trafficking operations across various states.
