Army Neutralizes Kidnapper, Rescues Four Victims in Edo

In a significant operation, troops from the Nigerian Army neutralized a kidnapper identified as Omogbegha Solomon, aged 39, and successfully rescued four victims in Edo State. The operation took place during a raid on a suspected kidnapper's hideout in Ujemen, Esan West Local Government Area.

Captain Kennedi Anyanwu, the Assistant Director of Army Public Relations for the 4 Brigade, reported that the operation occurred during a night patrol in Warak Forest. The rescued victims included Stella Abba (29), Tina Ododa (19), Razak Rashid (27), and Mutanibi Kalifa (16).

Following the raid, the victims were reunited with their families. Additionally, the troops discovered a shrine containing charms and photographs of various individuals, which was subsequently destroyed.

The suspect was handed over to the police for further investigation and prosecution.
