Nigerian Security Forces Arrest Six Suspected Kidnappers in Edo Forest Raid

The Nigerian security forces, comprising the Army and Police, successfully conducted a joint raid in Edo State's Agbed Forest, resulting in the arrest of six suspected kidnappers. The operation, following significant intelligence breakthroughs, led to the apprehension of individuals involved in kidnapping activities.

The victims were able to identify the forest camp where they were held captive. The suspects, including Mikel Gendaga, Yusuf Abubakar, Isyaka Abraham, Isyaka Abubakar, Moham Sumo, and Moham Abubakar, were arrested during the raid.

The Edo State Police Command confirmed the arrests and emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in combating crime. Earlier arrests of two kidnapping suspects along the Auchi-Igarra highway were also reported.

Additionally, a 24-year-old man was arrested at Lagos airport for his alleged involvement in a romance fraud scheme worth N48.5 million. Another suspect, Preciou Onudhona, was apprehended while attempting to board a flight in Asaba.
