Police and Army Arrest Six Suspected Kidnappers in Edo Forest Raid

The Edo State Police Command, in collaboration with the Nigerian Army and other security agencies, conducted a successful raid in the Agbed Forest, Etsako East Local Government Area. The operation, led by Eno Ikoedem, resulted in the arrest of six suspected kidnappers: Mikel Gendaga, Yusuf Abubakar, Isyaka Abraham, Isyaka Abubakar, Moham Sumo, and Moham Abubakar.

The suspects, hailing from various states, were apprehended in a swift operation that cordoned off the area and cut off escape routes. Additionally, two other kidnapping suspects, Muham Muamadu Haru and Abubakar Muham Haruna, were arrested during routine patrol along the Auchi-Igarra highway.

The Edo State Police Command emphasized the commitment to combating organized crime and warned criminals that the state's forests would no longer be safe havens. Investigations are ongoing, with the suspects' profiles under scrutiny by the State Criminal Investigation Department in Benin.
