Nigerian Army Enhances Joint Operations in North-West

The Nigerian Army has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening joint operations with various security agencies to address the security challenges in North-West Nigeria. Major General Bemgba Koughna, commanding the 8 Division, made this pledge during a visit that coincided with a study tour organized by the Air Force War College on Monday.

Brigadier General Ibrahim Gambari represented the Chief of Staff during this event. Koughna emphasized the importance of collaboration between land and air components, noting that such cooperation is critical for achieving security objectives and supporting national development.

The ongoing operations, particularly Operation Fansan Yamma, are driven by a coordinated strategy that relies on intelligence sharing and multi-agency cooperation. The study tour aims to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and operational realities, providing participants with a deeper understanding of the security environment and enhancing their capacity to inform strategic decisions.
