GOC Wase Advocates Inter-Agency Cooperation for Security

Major General Abubakar Wase, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, declared the opening of the 2026 1 Division operational plan cadre in Kaduna. He stressed the importance of strong inter-agency teamwork among security agencies, including the Nigeria Police Force, Department of State Services, and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, to effectively address the fluid and complex security environment in North West Nigeria.

Wase noted that the ongoing activities of violent non-state actors in ungoverned spaces pose significant challenges that require both physical strength and intellectual capacity for effective planning and execution. He highlighted the necessity of clarity in command intent and the synchronization of efforts to achieve decisive results.

The program includes lectures and interactive sessions aimed at enhancing knowledge and operational performance. Wase commended the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Waidi Shu'aibu, for his commitment to building a professional and resilient Nigerian Army.
