GOC 8 Division Visits Kebbi Troops, Urges Vigilance

On March 15, 2023, Maj Gen PB Koughna, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of the 8 Division of the Nigerian Army, conducted a familiarization visit to troops deployed in Kebbi State. During this visit, he inspected personnel at the 223 Light Tank Battalion stationed at the Forward Operating Base in Dirin Daji, located in the Sakaba area of Zuru Local Government Area.

The GOC received briefings from the unit commanders regarding operational activities and the security situation within their area of responsibility. Maj Gen Koughna emphasized the importance of remaining vigilant and committed to professionalism while discharging their duties.

He held operational meetings with unit commanders to address ongoing operational challenges and security issues in the area. The visit concluded without any incidents, highlighting the focus on maintaining security and operational readiness among the troops.
