Nigerian Troops Repel Boko Haram Attack in Borno State

On Tuesday, around 2:00 PM, Nigerian troops successfully repelled an attack by Boko Haram insurgents in Doro Settlement, Kukawa Local Government Area, Borno State. According to sources, despite lacking air support, the Nigerian Army managed to kill several insurgents during the confrontation, which lasted approximately 55 minutes.

There were no reported civilian casualties, although a few soldiers sustained injuries. The troops received intelligence about the insurgents' plans to attack an hour prior, having observed them gathering at the local boat shore near Lake Chad.

Following the operation, the insurgents retreated, and ongoing patrols are being conducted to prevent any resurgence of terrorist activities in the area. Nigerian Army spokesperson Sani Uba could not be reached for comment at the time of the report.
