Nigerian Army Rescues 11 Kidnapped Victims in Kaduna in Night Operation

The Nigerian Army successfully rescued 11 kidnapped victims in Kaduna during a late-night operation along the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway on January 26, 2026. The operation, which took place near Gidan Duna Amal, involved troops from the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Doka.

The Army leveraged high-definition long-range CCTV surveillance to detect and intercept armed terrorists attempting to transport captives. Following a swift pursuit using tactical vehicles and motorcycles, the criminals abandoned the victims in a nearby scrubland, preventing their escape.

The rescued individuals, comprising five adult males, three adult females, and three children, had been abducted from the Gada Mallam Maman community in October 26, 2025, and held captive for 92 days. The Army's statement highlighted the success of the operation, showcasing the effective use of modern surveillance technology and agile ground operations to combat criminal elements and ensure the security of citizens.
