Troops Rescue 19 Kidnap Victims in Abuja Operation

On a recent operation in Abuja, troops from the Nigerian Army successfully rescued 19 individuals who had been kidnapped in the Byazhin area of Bwari. The operation was conducted under the command of Captain Olawuyi Itunuoluwa, who explained that the troops acted on credible intelligence regarding the whereabouts of the kidnappers.

During the operation, the troops encountered the kidnappers, leading to a gun battle in which one suspect was killed, while others escaped with gunshot wounds. The troops recovered weapons at the scene, including an AK-47 rifle and a locally fabricated firearm.

Following the rescue, the victims were evacuated safely and received medical attention. Brig.
