Nigerian Army Rescues Abducted Major in Delta State, Commended for Bravery

The Nigerian Army successfully rescued Major Josiah, who was abducted in Delta State, following a well-coordinated operation involving meticulous planning and intelligence gathering. Major Josiah was taken during a marriage ceremony in Kpakiama community and later found in Bomadi with a gunshot wound.

The rescue operation, conducted in Tuomor Waterside, received commendation from Brigade spokesperson Captain Iliyasu Rijau and Brigadier General Shonibare for the soldiers' bravery and tactical execution. The incident highlights the increasing security challenges in Nigeria, with individuals like clerics, students, and security operatives becoming targets.

The Army emphasized the importance of community collaboration in combating such threats.
