Nigerian Army Rescues Six Abductees in North-East Nigeria

The Nigerian Army's Joint Task Force North East Operation Hadin Kai successfully rescued six abducted women and children from the Ngosh Community, who were held captive by Boko Haram and ISWAP elements. The operation occurred on May 14, 2026, following credible intelligence that led troops to intercept and rescue the victims, identified as Amina Salihu (52), Aishatu Musa (50), twin sisters Hassana and Hussaina Abubakar (9), Adamu Zakariyya (12), and Usman Zakariyya (10).

Brigadier General Nasirudeen Abdullahi provided medical attention to the rescued individuals. The operation also resulted in the neutralization of two terrorists and the arrest of Ibrahim Alhaji Julo (30), a suspected collaborator, in Konduga Local Government Area, Yobe State.

The Nigerian Army emphasized its commitment to ongoing rescue operations and dismantling terrorist networks in the region, ensuring the safety and security of civilians.
