Nigerian Army Rescues 31 Abducted Worshippers in Kachia

The Nigerian Army disclosed that they successfully compelled terrorists to abandon 31 civilian hostages who were kidnapped during an Easter service at the ECWA Church in Ariko Village, Kachia Local Government Area. The operation was initiated following a distress call that alerted security forces to the abduction.

Troops were immediately mobilized to the area to support local residents and pursue the fleeing terrorists. The engagement resulted in fierce gun battles, leading to injuries among the rescued victims, who are currently receiving medical attention.

Unfortunately, the Army confirmed that five victims were killed during the attack. The military noted that blood trails were observed along the terrorists' escape route, indicating heavy casualties on their side.

Efforts to track down the attackers and dismantle their enclave are ongoing, with additional troops deployed to reinforce operations aimed at preventing further attacks and ensuring the safety of the community.
