Nigerian Army Rescues 31 Worshippers in Kaduna Attack

On Easter Sunday, troops from the Nigerian Army thwarted a terrorist attack in Ariko Village, Kaduna, rescuing 31 worshippers who had been abducted during a church service. The army received a distress call and swiftly mobilized to the area, engaging the assailants in a gun battle that forced them to abandon their hostages.

The operation resulted in the death of five individuals, while the rescued victims, including some injured, are currently receiving medical attention. The army noted that the fleeing terrorists likely sustained casualties, as indicated by a blood trail along their escape route.
